1. First Stage CBT (Computer-Based Test 1)
- Purpose: Screening test for all candidates
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Questions: 100
- Subjects:
- General Awareness – 40 questions
- Mathematics – 30 questions
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 30 questions
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark per question; ⅓ negative marking for wrong answers
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS: 40%
- OBC: 30%
- SC: 30%
- ST: 25%
2. Second Stage CBT (Computer-Based Test 2)
- Purpose: Merit-based shortlisting for skill test/document verification
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Subjects & Pattern: Same as CBT 1 but with higher difficulty
- Shortlisting Ratio: 20 times the number of vacancies
3. Typing Skill Test (TST) (Only for Typist Posts)
- Applicable Posts:
- Junior Clerk cum Typist
- Accounts Clerk cum Typist
- Typing Speed Required:
- English: 30 WPM
- Hindi: 25 WPM
- Note: No relaxation in typing speed for any category
4. Document Verification (DV)
- Candidates who clear CBTs and Typing Test are called for DV
- Must produce original documents for verification:
- Educational certificates
- Identity proof
- Caste/category certificates (if applicable)
- Typing proficiency proof (if applicable)
5. Medical Examination
- Conducted by Railway Medical Authorities
