Selection Process for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) ESE 2025 consists of four stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Two papers: General Studies & Engineering Aptitude (Paper I) and Discipline-specific (Paper II)
- Qualifying in nature but marks are counted for merit
- Main Examination (Conventional Type)
- Two papers based on the engineering discipline
- Higher weightage in final merit
- Personality Test / Interview
- Assesses leadership, initiative, intellectual curiosity, and suitability for public service
- Medical Examination
